The combination of MPI with ECLA, an accomplished hardware design consulting firm in Boston, enables MPI to serve as an outsource for engineering and design to the delivery of finished assemblies. And through MPI's established partnerships with a number of contract assemblers in Boston and nation-wide, MPI will manage the process from initial design to delivery of the assembly in production-volume. We also can extend the lifespan of revenue-generating products through sustaining-engineering of EOL assemblies, trailing-edge assemblies and projects victimized by component shortages. MPI can look at a design from a supply perspective, assuring component availability in product development to maximize product and revenue-stream longevity. MPI incorporates aspects of our cost-reduction service when designing for production, making architectural choices that will be most cost-effective. We have the ability to source parts from numerous different global markets and can often find the same products being sold by franchised distributors in manufacturers' excess at lower prices. For existing assemblies that MPI undertakes for redesign, our goal is to deliver the finished assembly at a reduced cost from the previous standard.
